Caribbean stud is played having rules like that of a five-card poker, but unlike typical poker games, Caribbean poker is a game pitting the house against the players instead of players fighting among themselves.
The subsequent rules are used in almost all casinos in the U.S. however some details (limits and the payouts) vary from each casino to another casino.
To play Caribbean stud poker, each player is required to make his ante bets before the card dealer announces "No more bets". Afterward, the card dealer and every individual player will be dealt with five cards all face down. The dealer then will flip over one card in his possession, drive the cards to every player; and then individual player may now view his cards but is not allowed to converse with fellow players while at the board.
Players can choose whether to continue the game or to fold; if a player opted to play then he must place his bets (two times the sum of his ante) in the wager box. If he chooses to fold he loses his ante. As soon as all players have come up with their choices, then the card dealer shows his own hole card. The card dealer always plays the combination ace/king or better, he then compares his cards to the players' cards in right to left sequence, individually, and the top poker hand earns the pot.
Caribbean stud poker has some important rules that should be observed by players throughout the playing time:
* No more than one hand for each player. Players are prohibited to wager or hold on several hands at the poker table.
* Players opting to take part in the "Progressive Payout" component are accountable for making certain that their $1 stake has been put in into the proper slot and its "Indicator Light" is ON.
* Players may are prohibited to communicate or exchange information about their combinations to fellow players or even to the card dealer. Violation of this rule will constitute a dead hand and all bets are forfeited.
* Inaccurate numbers of cards dealt to the player results in a dull hand (or push) just for that player alone.
* Table or casino supervisor's decision is final.
* If the card dealer is given one card short of the required five cards, he then deal an extra card to four cards of the five-card hand, the dealer shall deal an additional card to full the hand. Another misdeal to the card dealer will end up in all hands considered as invalid and the cards are shuffled again.
* Each player is required to maintain his five cards always in complete sight of the card dealer. Once players have examined their cards and deposit them face down on the table, they are not to touch them again. If the hole card is viewed before the dealer declares "No More Bets", every hand will be canceled.
